Updated school fees of David Umahi Federal University of Health Sciences

The school fees of David Umahi Federal University of Health Sciences (DUFUHS) then  King David Nweze Umahi University of Medical Sciences are now updated for Nigerian and international students, both new and old students. However, the school fees were one of the fees considered very high in Nigeria. The rate was placed due to the nature of the facilities and other factors associated with the school. After a while, the management decided to listen to the voice of the people and reduced the school fees. See KDUMS school fees for new and returning students below.

This article is intended to help the general public know the actual school fees of David Umahi Federal University of Health Sciences 2023/2024 before applying for admission. Updated school fees of David Umahi Federal University of Health Sciences 2023/2024

Following the approval of the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State His Excellency Engr David Umahi and the recent Take-Over of the David Nweze Umahi University of Medical Sciences by the Federal Government, the Management of the University hereby announces the reduction in the school fees payable by students of the University. This reduction is aimed at making it affordable to more students without compromising the excellent standards of the University. The school fees for all programmes have been reduced as follows:

Please note that the current school fees cover accommodation, ICT, Library, medical, environmental, security, utility, internet, examination, laboratory, sports, orientation, matriculation as well as development levy.

In view of the above, the general public is encouraged to take advantage of this reduction in school fees and register their children/wards in the University in order to enjoy the state-of-the-art infrastructure and other facilities available for the training of students. Admissions for the 2023/2024 academic session have commenced. Candidates who scored 140 and above in JAMB and have requisite WAEC/NECO results are qualified to apply for admission into any of the programmes. Candidates who did not initially choose the University as their first choice but scored 140 and above in JAMB are encouraged to change institutions on the JAMB Portal to make the University their first choice and apply for admission.

Candidates who did not write JAMB at all but wish to study at the University can apply for the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) programme of the University. The IJMB programme is for a period of one year, after which, the candidate will be admitted directly into the 200 level without writing JAMB. Our pre-degree programme has been designed to provide additional opportunities for candidates to access alternative measures for admission into the University.

The University is also accepting students from other accredited universities who wish to transfer from their current universities to our university. Such students must have completed one academic session from his/her current university with evidence of official academic transcript.  Information on how to obtain any of the admission forms including payments for inter-university transfer is available on the University website: www.kdums.edu.ng.
